Johnny Wheels and the Swamp Donkeys deliver “feel good music” that undeniably connects with a crowd. Johnny is one of a kind. At the age of 12 Johnny “Wheels” Kennicott was in a tragic accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down. The son of a traveling bass player and singer, Johnny had music in his blood since birth but expressing himself musically took on new importance after that injury. With unmatched resiliency and a passion never seen before, Johnny and the band are a sight to behold; and when the crowd hears their music, they know it comes straight from the heart. This is truly a band of “brothers” that will give you something that you will never forget. Among the band’s many achievements are making the finals at the 2020 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, The Cascade Blues Association Muddy Award for “Best New Act” in 2018 and the “Best Regional Act” in 2019.
