TRASHCAN JOE PUPPET SHOW featuring Faerintales
The DIY darlings of the Portland swing-jazz scene, Trashcan Joe, have been thrilling audiences young and old for over 15 years. It all began with the invention of the “Trashcanjo,” a banjo built out of an old trash can, by band founder, Captain James Cook. This group flaunts a variety of unique instruments, including a customized rhythm washboard, a bass made from a feed trough, a silver trumpet, and a sweet accordion! Trashcan Joe plays the scene in Portland, but they have also adapted programming for the public school circuit through “Young Audiences.” This time, the band will be joined at the Crossroads Stage by a cast of larger-than-life puppets by Faerintales! This wild combo will sure to be some good family fun!
